Leicester City vs Arsenal - Premier League Match Preview, Kick-Off Time & Prediction.

The English Premier League continues on Sunday February 28, 2021 when Leicester City vs. Arsenal kicks-off at 13:00 (GMT+1), venue: King Power Stadium.

Leicester City were dumped out of their debut UEFA Europa League campaign on Thursday when they lost to Slavia Prague, 2-0 on aggregate. Left unmarked, Lukas Provod (49') got on the end of a cross to hand Slavia Prague their first goal of the evening just minutes into the second half. Later on, Peter Olayinka assisted, Abdallah Sima (79') who took a shot from outside the 18-yard box and beat goal keeper, Kasper Schmeichel for the second time. That defeat comes behind a 2-1 win over Aston Villa which they picked up last weekend in the league.  Leicester City have a form that reads: LWDWW in Premier League and are in 3rd place after playing 25 matches. The Foxes have scored 44 goals and conceded 27 - hence, have a GD of +17 and 49 points after 15W, 4D & 6L. Their stats show a goal ratio of 1.76 goals per game. The Foxes will be hoping to bounce back from that disappointing exit from the Europa League with a win. Brendan Rodgers is expected to adopt a conventional 4—5—1 formation with Jamie Vardy in attack once again when he takes on Arsenal this Sunday. Leicester City will be missing a number of players ahead of this tie.

Arsenal are in 11th place on the table - having, 10W, 4D & 11L. It has been a disappointing season so far – losing to Manchester City by a lone goal last weekend. With just over ten more games to go, it remains unlikely Arsenal will finish in any top-six position at the end of the season. However, they put their disappointing form aside and defeated Benfica, 4-3 on aggregate to qualify for the Europa League round-of-16 in which they will be facing Olympiacos away from home in the first leg. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the hero of the game – scoring twice: 21', 87' to help Gunners into the next round of the tournament. In the Premier league, they have scored 31 goals and conceded 26 - and hence, have a GD of +5. Gunners have a goal ratio of 1.24 goals per game and a form that reads: DLLWL (Premier League). Mikel Arteta will be looking for a win when he meets Leicester City. We expect a 4—2—3—1 formation from Mikel Arteta when Arsenal with 34 points make another Premier League appearance.

The Foxes defeated Arsenal by a lone goal in their last meeting which took place in October, 2020. A month earlier, Arsenal had defeated Leicester City, 2-0. An earlier encounter ended in a 1-1 draw.

A 1-0 victory for Leicester City is predicted at full-time.
